Hey mt. bikers,

Attached is the course map (note: not yet forwarded to me yet - Bjarne) for the last Iron Moose of the year. Should be a very entertaining loop! Not wicked hard, but challenging,, it is the Hillside, and lots of good FAST sections... The idea is to have beginners do 2 laps, sports do 3 laps, and experts do 4 laps. The laps are right at 7.1 miles, and will probably take the quick group around 30 minutes per lap?? If there are any juniors racing, they could do one lap?? Hope to see lots of folks out there!! If there is any interest in a pre-ride,,, I could take a group out on Wednesday evening.. just let me know!

Course description: Most of the entrances to any single track connectors I have already put some colored tape on a branch or plant. Start at the Hilltop parking lot... Follow the ski trail to the last right...Take a quick left onto the first single track parallel to the corridor...Jump out onto the corridor for a bit...Turn right up the lower section of Spencer...All the way to the creek and loop to the left...Right on the single track over to Rover's run...

Rover's Run all the way to View Point trail, turn left... Go to Moose's Meadow and turn left... Moose's Meadow to Black Bear and turn right...Black Bear up to Ridge Trail and turn right... Ridge Trail onto Richter Loop and stay right... Richter goes past 2 ski trail name signs...The 2nd one is the name of a climb, go about 100 yards past that to the single track on the right, there is pink tape already at the turn...You should come to a very short, steep root ladder... Out onto the Hillside Lighted Loop and turn right... Follow it down and around coming back on the Besh loop...Watch for another piece of pink tape marking the single track to the right,, should come out right before the Abbott parking lot...Follow ski trail just to the top of the hill and turn right on the single track... Down to the multi-use trail and back to the start... Later... Andy Duenow... 344-2740
